2018年から造り始めたピノノワール種100%のキュヴェ。畑は主に醸造所の裏
にある「Clos Saint Laurent（クロサンローラン）」という標高340～380mの
区画にあり、土壌はジュラ紀中期の石灰質に覆われたジュラ紀前期の灰色泥灰土
で葡萄の木の樹齢は10～45年になります。除梗100%で醗酵は開放型の木桶やステ
ンレスタンクで櫂入れはせずに液循環のみで約2週間行い、熟成は全体の60%を
228?の旧樽で、残り40%をステンレスタンクで行っています。赤い果実に少し柑
橘系果実のアロマ、果肉を齧ったようなジューシーな果実味、デリケートでフレッ
シュな味わいは高い標高の畑と土壌構成に由来しています。

「Grand Curoulet（グランキュルレ）」とは2012年のドメーヌ設立時に購入した広さ5haの畑の名前でアルボワの中でも最も良い区画の1つと言われており、さらにアルボワで1番最初に葡萄が植えられた場所でもあります。
購入当時、1993年に植樹された約0.3haのサヴァニャン種の畑以外は樹齢60年以上の古木で、すでに良い葡萄が収穫できなくなっていたので、ほとんどの木を引き抜いてから畑の整地を行い、2015年にサヴァニャン種とシャルドネ種を植樹しました。区画の半分は最も古くかつ最も上質な泥灰土を形成している三畳紀（トリアス紀）の灰色泥灰土、もう半分は緑色や赤色のまだらの泥灰土でサヴァニャン種にとって理想的な土壌構成になっています。北向きの風通りの良い畑なので他の区画と比べて葡萄はゆっくり成熟します。前出の混醸のサヴァニャン同様、アロマを残すために収穫の1/3をひと晩果皮浸漬をした後、350Lと500Lの樫樽、20～60hlの大樽などで醗酵させ、熟成には500Lの古樽を使用しています。
土壌由来の素晴らしいミネラル感が特徴的で、肉厚で深みがあるエネルギッシュな味わいは混醸のサヴァニャンよりも風格を感じさせ、アルボワにもテロワールがあることを認識させられます。

The creamy 2018 Arbois Savagnin Grand Courolet has notes of lemon and honey and feels creamy and somehow developed. It was produced with juice from very young vines (as the vineyard was replanted in 2015), and there is not a lot of depth, perhaps because of the young vines. It has some tannins (it macerated with the skins for a few hours) and there is a strong chalkiness.

葡萄品種はシャルドネ種100%。
ドメーヌ設立当初からあるキュヴェで醸造所がある「Montigny-les-Arsures（モンティニーレザルスール）」村にある複数の畑のシャルドネを使っています。丘の頂上付近にある泥土質の畑と西向きの斜面にあるジュラ紀中期の石灰質に覆われた泥灰質土壌の畑がメインとなっています。
標高は醸造所より高い400mで樹齢は10～45年、醗酵は350Lや500Lの樫樽や20～60hlの大樽で行い、熟成は全体の30%は350 Lと500Lの樫樽（うち5%が新樽）、残りは大樽やステンレスタンクで行われます。
石灰質が鋭さとキレ、泥土がボリュームとミネラル感を与えており、バランス良く飲みやすい味わいに仕上がっています。

I liked the bottled 2018 Arbois Chardonnay better than the unbottled sample I tasted last time. It's a neatly made Chardonnay with some toasty and spicy notes, a little creamy, nicely textured, more Burgundian that most examples from Jura. The wine is tasty and finished with a salty note, with integrated oak and the signature of a fine winemaking team.

「ARBOIS GRAND CUROULET SAVAGNIN OUILLE」同様、ドメーヌ設立の2012年に購入した畑で、アルボワで1番最初に葡萄が植えられた畑、そして1番良い畑のひとつと言われています。
購入した際には60年以上の古木が植えられていましたが、すでにあまり良い葡萄が取れない状況だったため、ほとんどの葡萄の木を1度引き抜いてから畑を整備し、2015年に 5haの畑にサヴァニャン種を2/3、シャルドネ種を1/3植樹しました。シャルドネはこの区画の中でも標高が高い場所に植えられており、ヴォルネーの1級区画「Clos des Ducs（クロデデュック）」に似ている泥灰質土壌がワインに緊張感を与えています。
醗酵は350Lや500Lの樫樽や 20～60hlの大樽で行い、500Lの古樽で熟成させています。
洗練されたエレガントな香り、ミネラル豊かで余韻も長く、混醸のシャルドネよりも辛口で直線的な味わいになっています。

The bottled 2018 Arbois Chardonnay Grand Courolet comes from a plot that used to belong to Robert Aviet. The wine has a spicy nose with balsamic notes of aromatic herbs, medicinal and toasty, quite showy, like it might have had the effect of some yeasts, as it sometimes makes me feel like there are some notes reminiscent of a Vin Jaune. It's a bit peaty and smoky, round and ripe and with integrated acidity.

The 2018 Arbois Trois Cépages is a red blend of the three varieties from Jura, with 60% Pinot Noir, 35% Trousseau and 5% Poulsard. Despite the low alcohol (12.5%), it has a ripe nose, with notes of cherries and orange peel, and a light palate.
The range of Domaine du Pelican keeps growing. It's the Jura project from Burgundy's Marquis d'Angerville.

The nose of the 2018 Arbois Poulsard is quite expressive and agreeable
for such a young wine. Tasted from a large oak vat, the wine had
finished fermentation and malolactic and will be ready to be bottled
after the spring. This is bright and lively, expressive, aromatic and
open, quite elegant, with some tannins. They picked a little early, and
the wine is somewhat herbaceous.
