The 2015 Châteauneuf du Pape is 70% Grenache and the rest Syrah and Cinsault, with just a splash of Mourvèdre, all of which was raised in old foudre. It’s a pretty, elegant, medium to full-bodied red that has lots of blueberry and black raspberry fruits, licorice and floral notes, and while that tannin is certainly present, they’re ripe. It has outstanding potential and will drink nicely through 2025.
In addition to his Vieille Julienne releases, Jean-Paul Daumen also releases small amounts of wine under his Daumen label. These are reasonably priced and come from growers Jean-Paul works closely with, and most are made in just a couple hundred case lots. These aren’t your average, large production, Negociant wine.

The 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape Les Hauts Lieux comes from a cooler, higher elevation parcel and is 80% Grenache and 20% Mourvedre. Where the Trois Source cuvee is upfront and exuberant, this beauty offers more minerality as well as lots of ripe blackberry fruits, spice, roasted meats and hints of violets in a concentrated, backwards, tannic style. Forget bottles for 5-6 years and enjoy over the following two decades. -

ですから、この2016年のレゼルヴは2015年の評価（97-100ｐ）を上回る出来だと推測できます。
アドヴォケイト誌で2015年並みの評価がされていたら、既に市場から消えているワインです。

The 2006 Chateauneuf du Pape exhibits a dense purple color as well as an expressive bouquet of black currants, licorice, kirsch, meat juices, and hints of spice box as well as lavender. Full-bodied, opulent, rich, and stunningly concentrated, it is one of the vintage’s finest efforts. This beauty should provide plenty of pleasure over the next 15+ years.
