名醸地サン・テミリオンに隣接しており、着実に名品を世に送り出しているエリア…それがコート・ド・カスティヨンです。
しかしながらこの地にあって、シャトー・デギーユは元は平凡なブドウ園でした。しかし、こちらを1990年に買収したのが「ラ・モンドット」をはじめ「カノン・ラ・ガフリエール」「クロ・ド・ロラトワール」を所有する超敏腕オーナー「ステファン・フォン・ナイペルグ氏」だったのです！
さらに、醸造担当にトップコンサルタントの「ステファン・ドゥルノンクール氏」を迎え入れ、品質を劇的に向上させたのは有名な話。
豊かなブドウの恵みをそのままに、清澄・ろ過等を一切行わない凝縮感たっぷりのワインからは、完熟したブドウのパワーがほとばしっているかのようです！

A terrific effort from this large and immaculately maintained property on the clay-limestone slopes of the Côtes de Castillon, the 2019 d'Aiguilhe exhibits aromas of cherries and cassis mingled with notions of burning embers, licorice and warm spices. Medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with lively acids, powdery tannins and a mineral finish, it's intelligently matured in tank and large-format oak as well as small barriques.

The 2019 Batailley is performing well from bottle, delivering aromas of rich cassis fruit mingled with notions of licorice and loamy soil.
Medium to full-bodied, broad and fleshy, with a generous core of fruit,lively acids and plenty of ripe, powdery tannin, this is a chunky, flavorful Pauillac that will develop well in bottle.

The medium to deep garnet-purple colored 2015 d'Aiguilhe gives up wonderfully expressive warm red and black plums, black cherries and spice box on the nose with touches of dried flowers and fallen leaves. The medium to full-bodied palate has generous fruit with plush tannins and loads of freshness.
