Aromas of crisp green orchard fruit, citrus zest, apple blossom and sweet stones introduce the 2021 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Derriere Chez Edouard Haute Densite, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and complete wine that's layered and harmonious, with a cool core of fruit that's girdled by racy acids, concluding with a long, saline finish. Yields here were 22 hectoliters per hectare, with a planting density of up to 30,000 vines per hectare. As ever, this will really demand a decade of patience to reveal its full potential.

The 2020 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Derrière Chez Edouard Haute Densité is another brilliant rendition of one of contemporary Burgundy's most fascinating wines. Unwinding in the glass with aromas of lime zest, white flowers, wet stones, oyster shell and subtle reduction, it's full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with a multidimensional core of fruit that's framed by racy acids and huge reserves of chalky dry extract. Incisive, penetrating and tightly wound, anyone lucky enough to acquire a bottle or two should plan on a minimum of a decade's patience.

Once again, the 2020 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Derrière Chez Edouard contains the young high-density plantings that Lamy deems insufficiently mature to merit inclusion in his Haute Densité cuvée. Offering up aromas of crisp orchard fruit, citrus oil and freshly baked bread, it's medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, its satiny attack segueing into a taut, chalky mid-palate and a long, mineral finish.

大理石に香りがあるのか？と聞かれたらもちろん無いです、と言うより他にないのですが　白く硬質な石を思わせる緊張感に満ちた香りは例えるなら大理石のような荘厳さ。
追いかけるような緑のシダや柑橘、白桃の微粒子は恐ろしいほど細やか。酸がしっかりと軸にあり硬質で凛とした佇まいはまさにクロ・デュ・メ。早摘みのエグさが皆無なのは狂気にも近い葡萄に対するアプローチの為せる業。
中間でひゅっと引き締まりわずかに若さ由来の収れん。遠く遠くまで香りの光線が突き抜けていくように果実が鮮やかに真っ直ぐ伸びていく。やはり次元の違う世界を見せてくれる。（2023年1月　村岡）

The 2020 Saint-Aubin La Princée is also very attractive, offering up aromas of crisp green apple, fresh mint, white flowers and warm bread, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny palate that's built around racy acids and chalky extract. It's a model of purity and precision.
