The 2021 Vosne-Romanée Village is a particular success for Felettig this year. Offering up aromas of sweet plums, berries and cassis, it's medium to full-bodied, layered and fleshy, with powdery tannins, lively acids and impressive depth and flair.

The 2020 Vosne-Romanee 1er Cru has turned out beautifully. Offering up aromas of dark berries, rose petals, peonies, rich spices and orange rind, it's medium to full-bodied, lively and perfumed, with a sensual, seamless profile and a long, saline finish. It's a blend of Petits Monts and Chaumes.

The 2020 Vosne-Romanee Village is the finest rendition of this cuvee, derived largely from prime lieu-dit Aux Jachees, that Felettig has produced to date. Mingling aromas of dark berries will orange rind, exotic spices and forest floor, it's medium to full-bodied, velvety and enveloping, its powdery tannins entirely concealed in an ample core of fleshy, vibrant fruit.

Unwinding in the glass with notes of wild berries, spices, orange rind and licorice, the 2019 Vosne-Romanee Village is medium-bodied, lively and concentrated, with lovely depth and length. One of the more reserved communal appellations in Felettig's cellar, I suspect it will flesh out with further elevage. As readers may remember, this cuvee derives largely from prime lieu-dit Aux Jachees.
