葡萄の植樹は1985年で所有畑の面積は約0.22ha、小石の多い粘土質土壌で傾斜のある区画です。
色合いは深紅でブラックベリーのような濃厚なフルーツのアロマ、タンニンも力強く、骨格のしっかりしているワインです。植樹をした株がウィルス性の病気を持っていて生産量が少なかったため、2018年の収穫後に全て抜いて2021年に再度植樹する予定です。

The 2016 Pommard 1er Cru Les Rugiens was broody and a little introverted on the nose, probably due to be racked sooner than some of the more expressive Volnays. The palate is crisp and taut with cranberry and redcurrant fruit, a good backbone with a nicely poised, quite feminine (for a Pommard) finish that gently caresses. This is a delightful Pommard Rugiens that should give a decade's worth of drinking pleasure.
