ストラスブルグの南に位置するコルマールの町から北へ10kmほど行ったところにある特級区画「SPOREN（スポーレン）」。泥灰粘土質の土が深い畑なので根が地中深くまで伸びて様々な要素を吸収し、早熟な区画なので糖度が上がりやすく、エキゾチックでフローラルなアロマが豊かな甘味の強いエネルギッシュなワインになりやすい傾向があります。2014年はスズキバエという害虫が発生してその被害を避けるために例年よりも早めに収穫したので、たっぷりとした甘さがありながらもフレッシュでハツラツとした酸味のある、比較的スッキリとした味わいになっています。

The 2014 Sporen Gewurztraminer opens with a clear, fresh and aromatic, concentrated bouquet of white and citrus fruits intermixed with pure and stony aromas. Full-bodied, intense and fresh, with a stunningly piquant acidity and citrus fruit, this is a well-structured and tannic Gewurztraminer that is not oily and massive at all, but stimulating and gastronomic. The finish is pure, firm and salty, with tension and a stimulating grip. Aunique Sporen that finishes dry, piquant and mineral.
